Nitrous oxide is an oxygen bearing compound made up of two nitrogen atoms and one
oxygen atom. It is a colorless, non-flammable gas with a slightly sweet taste and odor.
It's non-toxic and when inhaled in small quantities can produce mild hysteria and gigging
or laughter. This is where the nickname "laughing gas" comes from. Nitrous Oxide is also
used in injection systems in cars and can be responsible for some phenomenal increases
in power.
